Today's prompts from NaPoWriMo and Write Better Poetry: (1) Write a poem about something tiny, and (2) write a "counting" or "not counting" poem. April is shaping up to be a pretty busy month for me, so I may be posting shorter poems as we go along, but I'll try my best to keep up. Today is another nonet:
The Other War
you look like a clove-studded golf ball
under the microscope, but you've
changed everything in our world,
as we count casualties,
little insurgent―
we mask, we vax,
but still you
invade
us
you look like a clove-studded golf ball
under the microscope, but you've
changed everything in our world,
as we count casualties,
little insurgent―
we mask, we vax,
but still you
invade
us
